Curatio Kojic cream was prescribed to my by dermatologist to work on dark spots that are caused due to acne. Skin lightening cream containing kojic acid is meant to improve the skin by reducing dark/black spots on the face caused by acne or pimples. It contains three active ingredients with a track record of success in clinical trials for skin lightening. Lactokine in Kojic cream protects the skin from visible signs of sunburn and reduces melanin production in the skin’s deeper layers. Hence it prevents the production of extra pigment. It can help lighten existing sunspots and photodamage, as well as fade the dark marks left by acne scarring. It’s free of oil, non-irritating, and non-comedogenic. Kojic hydrates and restores skin elasticity, leaving it soft and supple.
Kojic cream comes in a tube type packing with a nozzle at one end which helps in applying the cream on the dark spot. I usually apply it before going to bed after washing my face with a mild cleanser like cetaphil. But if you apply this cream in the morning it is essential to apply sunscreen which is suitable for oily skin before that. As it is non-comedogenic it does not irritate my skin or cause acne. You need to be patient and it takes around four weeks for the acne marks to fade.
I have also noticed that if I apply this cream more than once a day, I get little irritation in the place of application. And little amount of cream is enough to fade away the spots. Moving on to the fragrance of the cream, it has strong chemical kind old of fragrance.
Pros Of Kojic Cream:
- Affordable
- Fades acne spots
- Non comedogenic
- Non skin irritation
Cons Of Kojic Cream:
- If you apply it without washing face it causes acne
Kojic cream is one of the best treatment with less side effects to deal with the hyper pigmentation caused due to acne. Do consult your dermatologist before trying out this cream.
This sounds like a hit product!
