Hi, I’m Subha!
Welcome to CandyCrow — a space I started back in 2013 to talk honestly about beauty, fashion, and everyday lifestyle from right here in Chennai.
It began almost by accident. I’d completed a couple of courses in natural and synthetic beauty product formulation, and one day, browsing through the internet, it struck me that all that knowledge was just sitting there unused. So I started writing, first about the products I was testing on my own skin, then about fashion, travel, and the small lifestyle discoveries that make up a normal day. CandyCrow was born out of that, and more than a decade later, it’s still where I share my honest, no-fluff take on what actually works.
My approach to beauty and skincare has always been research-first. I read ingredient lists first, I’m picky about what goes on my skin, and if a product doesn’t earn its place in my routine, it doesn’t get a glowing writeup just because it was sent to me. That’s the promise this blog has always run on, real experience, real opinions, and no filler.
When I’m not writing here, you’ll usually find me deep in a skincare ingredient list, reading a book or hunting down a good travel deal for the next family trip. Food, fashion, and shopping, round out the rest of my interests and they show up on this blog too, alongside the beauty content.
