Bali is a quite interesting destination. The destination is presently frequented a lot by Indians because of the mix of activities that the place has to offer. Bali has a slice of everything. Be it adventure, sports, fun, safari and lot more. This is place is also considered as a honeymooner’s paradise. Economical costs are one of the major reasons of Bali’s rise in popularity as a tourist friendly destination. But what about kids? This is the first question that popped in to mind when I was planning for my Bali vacation. After doing some research I found out that Bali is a kid friendly place and it has a lot to offer to kids as well.
Let’s have a look at the things to do in Bali with kids –
1.Bali Sea Turtle Society –
Located at Kuta beach, this place is well known for adventure sports. Here a tour is conducted through glass bottom rides, on the way you can see and even feed the fish. But the major highlight of the tour is when you see Indonesian green turtles. Bali sea turtle society is doing a fab job of preserving the turtles. They protect the turtles on one of the busiest sands on Bali. They preserve the eggs in a protected environment and then release them in the sea when they are hatch. You can release the baby turtle back to the sea for free, all you have to do is reach Kuta beach around 3.30 PM and get your tokens to release the baby turtle back to sea. As you are travelling with kids, travel insurance is a must, for safe travel.
2.Kuta Beach –
You can hangout at Kuta beach with your kids and kill some time by building sand castle and by playing at beach. Don’t forget to get towel, extra outfit and beach set while visiting this beach. 3.Bali Birds Park –
This is one of our personal favorite in things to do in Bali with kids . It is a massive space spread around 2000 acres and it is home to 200 different species of birds. This is a lush green place where you can enjoy the sighting of different birds and kids will have a gala time here. Many birds are allowed to roam around freely. You can hold Lories, Scarlet Macaw and Toucan. They also have couple of bird shows. Where you can interact with birds. You can spend 4 hours here.
4.Bali Reptile Park –
Bali reptile park is located next to Bali birds park. Here you can see variety of reptiles which you thought existed only in books. You can come across a lot of amphibians and poisonous snakes as well. They have a place dedicated for Iguanas, here with the help of the reptile keeper take photos along with it, they allow as you to hold and touch tortoise. Must visit place for reptile lovers. You can get a combo ticket for this park along with Blai birds park. You would need 1 to 1.5 hours to have a good look at this place.
5.Bali Zoo –
Bali Zoo which was opened to public in the year 2007 and it is home to different indigenous and foreign animals. Kids will enjoy the forested trails here. It is located 2 Km from Bali birds parks. As you enter the park you will be greeted by deer, if you want you can buy some carrots and feed them up. As you move around you can see water park for kids which is open until 4.30 PM. They also have time slots to take photo with snakes. The zoo was clean and all the animal looked happy and healthy. They also have a night safari, but we did not opt for it. 6.Dream Zone Museum –
This is a 3D art museum where you can kick start your imagination, brush up your acting skill and take fun filled interesting photos D painting. They have 11 rooms, each with 4-5 art in them. You should take off your shoes while entering the museum, so bring your own socks to avoid walking bare foot in the art museum. You will need around 3 hours to take goofy fun filled photos at this place. If you have teenage kids you can opt for student travel insurance for more benefits.
7.Bali Safari and Marine Park –
This is an open forest Bali safari ride where you can enjoy glimpses of forests through African and Indian jungles. They have a water park inside the bali safari. you will need a day to see the shows and have fun at water park. As we visited the Bali zoo we skipped this one.
8.Waterbom Bali –
This water park was located next to our Hotel Amnaya. It is one of the Asia’s best water park, it has pools and rides of different kinds. This water park has more rides for Adults than kids. If you are travelling with a teenager or a kid who loves water ride then this a must do thing in Bali but if you have kids below 10 years you have very few water slides for them. 9.Butterfly Park –
Bali Butterfly park is one of the best places to witness butterflies in their natural habitat. You will come across colorful giant butterflies. Wide variety of butterflies are seen here including the ones for research, preservation and even for reproduction purpose. You can spend about 1 hour here.
10.Pirates Bay Restaurant-
This restaurant is located in Nusa Dua. It is located at a beach side you can have your lunch or dinner here, at tree house. I have heard that the food here is average but they have fun filled activities treasure hunt, and pirate ship for kids. If you have booked your hotel around Nusa Dua check out this place and you wont be disappointed.
