If you boil eggs on a regular basis, you would have probably encountered cracked and broken eggs during the process. I wanted to put an end to this tedious task, so I decided to try out the Kent egg boiler. Here is my honest review of it after using it for 2 years.

I got my Kent egg boiler from Amazon.in The egg boiler comes with an egg tray, a plastic lid, and a measuring cup. The egg can be boiled in soft, medium, or hard consistency. All you have to do is place the egg on the egg tray. Measure the amount of water as per need and pour it directly into the metal plate of the boiler. Push the power button and relax. (The water measuring plastic beaker is calibrated into soft, medium, and hard categories, with each category further divided into 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 and 7 subcategories according to the number of eggs you want to boil)
Auto cut-off feature will automatically switch the power off once it is done. It prevents your eggs from becoming too hard or bursting open. It usually takes around 10 minutes to cook eggs. However, if you leave the boiled eggs in the boiler for too long, the power will turn on again until all the water evaporates. So I usually switch off the egg boiler and take the egg from it once it is done.
The beaker has a pin at the bottom to pierce a hole in the egg to make the process of shell removal easy, but I usually skip this step, nevertheless, the egg comes out well. The tray and the plastic lid are easy to clean, and they are dishwasher safe too. The heating plate can be cleaned with a wet cloth. If you boil an egg with a minor crack, it will crack open during the boiling process and create a mess in the egg tray. As it is a small and compact kitchen appliance, it can fit in any kitchen.
I have tried making hard as well as medium eggs with it, and both have turned out perfectly. I got my mom the rectangular Kent egg boiler, which can boil up to 6 eggs at a time. To my surprise, it did not work as efficiently as this one. I guess that is due to the fact that the heating element is only present in the centre of that model.
If you are a busy person who wants to have a healthy breakfast, or if you like boiled eggs, you can get this Kent egg boiler, which will make your life easy if you follow the instructions properly. I highly recommend it.
