You don’t need to be a makeup pro or beauty guru to achieve this brown smokey eye look. With the help of right technique you can achieve this look. The most important key to smokey eyes is blending. So blend blend, blend until it looks seamless. So let’s start our Easy brown smokey eye makeup tutorial .
Products Used to Create Brown Smokey Eye Makeup
Step 1: I start by applying concealer on my eyelid. I prefer using concealer 1-2 shades lighter than my skin tone so that the true colour of the eyeshadow is visible. Set it with compact/ loose powder.
Step 2:Apply light brown eyeshadow on the crease as the transition shade.
Step 3:Apply dark brown/black kohl on the eyelid close to the eyelashes. The lines doesn’t have to be perfect because we are going to smudge it. You can use MAC Smolder or Ruby’s smoked kohl for this look.
Step 4:Smudge the kohl, darker towards the lower lashline and lighter as it moves up towards the transition shade.
Step 5:Take dark brown colour and blend it from the outer corner to the inner corner, merging it with the transition shade.Blend brown shade with the black kohl to make it look softer and seamless.
Step 6:Line the water-line along the lower lash-line with kohl and smudge it with a thin brush.
Step 7:Set the smudged kohl with black eye shadow, now take a dark brown shade and blend the lower lash-line with the black eyeshadow to make it look softer and seamless.
Step 8:Curl the upper eyelashes and apply 2 coats of mascara and apply 1 coat of mascara on lower eyelashes.
You can also apply false eyelashes at this point.
I kept my face makeup minimal and fresh by using medium coverage foundation like MAC Match master or Lakme 9 to 5 foundation . And I have Contoured my face to accentuate features. Added some blush (gingertone for natural look) and highlighter to compliment the look. For my lips, I opted for nude lips to achieve monochromatic makeup look. Here’s the final look.
