Gone are those days when you need to buy everything. The trend now a days is to have minimal wardrobe. And for minimal wardrobe, rather than buying more and more things, you need to keep investing. Thus, take out those old sarees from your wardrobe, because this is the time to give them a new look.
Let’s have a look at some of the most amazing ways of how you can glam up a old saree and use it again –
1. Anarkali –
Now, this is my favorite way of using up the old silk saree. I am personally thinking of using this for my multiple wedding sarees. Anarkali dresses are my favorite. And each anarkali requires a minimum of 4 meter fabric. Thus, use your sarees which you are not wearing. This will save you the fabric cost and you will be incurring only the stitching charges. 2. Palazzo –
Another great way of glamming up your look with those old sarees. And coloured palazzo works great with white shirts or even any plain solid coloured outfit. Banarasi saree and crepe silk saree makes awesome palazzo pants.
3.Dhoti Pants –
If you are a fan of dhoti pants, try converting your old saree in to dhoti pants. The plus you will have with sarees being used as dhoti pants is that you will get a lot of flair. Plain saree with simple border design is an apt choice for these kind of pants.
4.Use old saree as Long Skirt –
Since ethnic long skirts are in trend these days. Get a long skirt stitched with your old banarasi, and chandersi silk sarees. They will look great with crop tops or even plain solid coloured blouses. Here also you can enjoy a long flair.
5.Kimono Jacket –
Such a stylish way of using old saree, right? Well, why not go with some long kimono ethnic jackets. They look quite stylish and are perfect to be worn on numerous occasions. If your saree pallu has beautiful design it could be used for it
6.Straight Kurta –
Straight Kurta is another great way of wearing your old silk, banarasi and chanderi sarees. You can even go for the floor length one as they are great for everyday wear and can be worn on special as well as in parties even.
7.Gowns –
How about wearing your old age forgotten sarees as long gowns. They look great and are perfect for each and every occasion. Gowns today are worn on numerous outings. Saree with beautiful norders work well for gowns.
8. Use old saree as Dupatta –
Rich dupattas are a trend these days. So, how about wearing a rich dupatta made from your old silk or banarsi saree and then pairing them with solid plain coloured kurtis.
