1. NIGHT SAFARI:
Located next to the Singapore Zoo it is world’s first safari park for nocturnal animals and show. Opened in 1994 it introduces you to around 130 species of animals ranging to around 2,500 animals. Their home is of 35 hectares and those of you who love to ride on wheels around, then 35 minute tram ride with live commentary would elate you the most! “Creatures of the night” is one amazing 30 mins. animal show which you shouldn’t miss. The cultural background to this whole night thrill is given by the tribal dance that follows up with a great groove and fiery fire displays.
2. JURONG BIRD PARK:
It is a massive land having an assortment of 8,000 birds from 600 species. High Flyers Show, Kings of the Skies Show, Lunch with the Parrots these are to name the shows for all the bird lovers and the visitors otherwise, which will mesmerize you. A very friendly conducted bird feeding for a wide range of birds like penguin, flamingo, pelican, ostrich is a must! It starts from 8:30 and goes on till evening. If you are opting to visit Bird’s park in Malaysia, you can skip this one.
3. MADAM TUSSAUD WAX MUSEUM:
Located in Sentosa Island, near Imbiah Station it was opened on 25th October 2014 and all of its branches have always been known for its wax art of A-list people that is showcasing famous and influential people from around the world from actors, musicians, leaders to sports celebrities etc. Ever feel like hugging your favorite celebrity? That’s the right place to land to!
4. UNIVERSAL STUDIOS:
It is a great choice if you are travelling with kids above 9 years. This Hollywood movie theme park has an appealing selection of attractions, thrill rides and entertainment for everyone. What you get? You get an experience of seven diverse zones in the park: Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, Lost World, Far Far Away, and Madagascar. The park has 24 rides and attractions, 18 of which are exclusive to Universal Studios!
5. GARDEN BY THE BAY:
It entails three separate gardens – Bay South, Bay East, and Bay Central – spread out over the size of 177 football fields and provides spellbinding waterfront views across all gardens. It opens from 5am to 2am daily!Night light show that starts 7:45 and 8:45 pm daily would soak you in its fascinating light show along with its waltz music!
The flower dome is like a sight of paradise to see. It’s filled with incredible collection of cactus and succulents from around the world. 1000 year old olive trees and Mediterranean displays are an add on and at the centre you’d find changing floral display! Another inclusion is Cloud forest, an enclosed compound containing a 35-metre tall mountain veiled in mist and lining up lush vegetation amidst the world’s tallest indoor waterfall! Ocbc skyway is an elevated walkway between two of the larger Super trees to allow a panoramic aerial view of the Gardens. You’ll also find a food/beverage outlet atop the 50-metre (160 ft) Super tree!
6. WINGS OF TIME:
it is a 25 minute Laser show in Sentosa with a story theme at two show timings i.e. 7:40 pm and 8:40 pm. A one of a kind show that brings out itself based on a theme and mesmerizes every watcher!
7. UNDER WATER WORLD AND DOLPHIN LAGOON:
An oceanarium that has more than 2,500 marine animals comprising coral reefs, stingrays, moray eels, turtles, sharks etc. of 250 species from different regions of the world is located in Sentosa. The ticket to this includes visit to Dolphin Lagoon too which is home to several ‘pink dolphin’. Participate in “Meet-the-Dolphins” sessions held daily allowing visitors to enter the waist-deep pool and interact closely with the dolphins! I like this aquarium more than the Dubai mall Aquarium.
Tips For Singapore Travel :
– Don’t worry about getting cheated here unlike some other countries.
– Booking tickets online gets you good deals in most of the spots especially if it’s Sentosa
– Book taxi before the rush hour (4 to 7PM) to avoid any delay or waiting.
– Stepped out for a budget friendly shopping? Then checkout china town, Mustafa road and bugis road.
