I recently tried the Plum Vanilla Vibes Roll-On, and while it has some positives, it didn’t quite meet my expectations as a deodorant. Here’s my honest take after using it for a while:
PRICE: Rs.299
First, let’s talk about the fragrance. The vanilla scent is pleasant and not overpowering, which I really liked. It’s sweet and subtle, making it a nice choice for everyday use. However, the fragrance doesn’t last long. Within a couple of hours, it fades away, and unfortunately, it doesn’t do much to combat body odor. Instead, it seems to mix with my natural scent and ends up smelling a bit odd, which defeats the purpose of using a deodorant.
I’ve used other roll-ons with similar ingredients, like Chemist at Play’s roll-on, which also contains AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) like lactic acid and glycolic acid. Comparatively, Chemist at Play’s product worked much better for me in terms of controlling body odor. The Plum roll-on, on the other hand, didn’t seem to make a noticeable difference in this regard. It felt like it was just masking the odor temporarily rather than addressing it. Home made deodorant recipe HERE
On the positive side, it glides on smoothly and doesn’t leave a sticky or greasy residue. It didn’t cause any burning or irritation, even when I applied it right after shaving. This is a big plus for someone with sensitive skin, as many deodorants can sting or cause discomfort in such situations.
The roll-on contains lactic acid and glycolic acid, which are mild exfoliants. While these ingredients are supposed to help with odor control and skin texture, I didn’t notice any significant exfoliating effects or improvement in my underarm skin. It felt more like a basic roll-on rather than one with added skincare benefits.
In conclusion, the Plum Vanilla Vibes Roll-On has a lovely fragrance, but it falls short in terms of longevity and effectiveness in controlling body odor. If you’re looking for a mild, non-irritating deodorant with a pleasant scent, this might work for you. However, if odor control is your primary concern, you might want to explore other options, like Chemist at Play’s roll-on, which performed better for me in that aspect.
