Especially during these pandemic time, many people are turning towards online shopping to fulfill their shopping needs. I usually prefer stitching my kurta’s with running material, and I was not in the mood to shop in T.Nagar. Hence, I went hunting to find an online shop that caters to my kind of handloom fabrics.
After browsing through a couple of websites, iTokri.com caught my attention. As it was a new website, I went through a couple of reviews and decided to buy from them.
iTokri Online Shopping Experience:
The website is well organized. They sell many products such as sarees, blouses, running materials, jewellery, handicraft products, natural beauty products and more. Every product has a complete description of the material, weight and also shipping time. They also have COD and worldwide shipping.
I am a big fan of Jacquard weave, and I was able to find many beautiful running jacquard fabrics at affordable pricing in iTokri. I ended up buying four beautiful running fabrics from them. One meter cost around Rs.200-230, which was quite reasonable. If you are wondering what Jacquard weave is? Jacquard weaves, produced on a special loom, are characterized by complex woven-in designs, often with large design repeats or tapestry effects. Also, all these fabrics are prewashed, so can you stitch them right away.
The payment and checkout went on smoothly. Once I placed the order, I got order confirmation through the mail, and I was intimated about the shipment through mail and SMS. The shipment reached me within five days.
Products and Packing:
As itokri is an environment-conscious brand, they have made the courier shipment box by reusing old papers and cardboard. All my fabrics reached me in good condition, and they looked exactly like the picture.
It was very thoughtful of them to send a handwritten thank-you note and a free plantable notepad along with the products. The fabrics were soft as they were prewashed, and I was totally impressed by the quality of the material.
