The Samsung Galaxy M31 is available in the colours Ocean Blue, Red and Black. I have got Ocean blue. We were searching to buy a smartphone around the budget of Rs.18K for official use; after a lot of research, we settled down with Samsung galaxy M31. As it is a budget phone, headphones and case were not there. I have been using for an year and here is the review.
Price: Rs.21,99 ( Got it for Rs.16,999 from Amazon)
How is the Battery?
It has a gigantic 6000mah battery, and it takes around 3 hours to charge completely. With regular use, it lasts for 2 to 3 days without charging. Even if the mobile data, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled simultaneously, it lasts for 2 solid days.
What about Camera Quality?
Even though it has 64 Megapixels Main camera. Do not except exceptionally stunning photos from it as Megapixels is just a marketing term. Photos of objects, people and landscapes are good, in short the main camera is nice. As far as selfie camera is concerned, it is a hit and a miss most of the time. At times photo looks natural with the selfie camera and sometimes it gives a fake whitewashed skin color tone, which I am not a big fan of.
What about gaming?
Gaming isn’t the best, fortnite ran at 15fps to 21fps, Roblox is very laggy, but the call of duty ran well. This phone isn’t good for intense gaming. One Plus 9R review HERE
What about the OS?
It is bloated, and shows ads on the lock screen by default, and it also automatically installs bloat, but all those can be disabled. But it at least doesn’t show ad notifications like MiUi.
What about the specs?
CPU : Samsung Exynos 9611
GPU : Mali G72 MP3
Storage: 64GB 6GB RAM / 128 GB 8GB Ram with sd card slot
OS : OneUi 2.0 / 3.1 (Android 10 / 11)
Camera: 64 Megapixel Main,32 Megapixel Selfie, 8 Megapixel Ultrawide, 5 Megapixel Macro, 5 Megapixel Depth
Video Recording: 1080p 30 fps, 4K 30 fps
Conclusion:
I would’ve liked this phone better if it had a Snapdragon processor or a MediaTek Processor since Exynos chips are slower than Snapdragon and MediaTek CPU’s, But this phone can get the job done. The Exynos 9611 isn’t too fast, but it has good enough performance for people who do not do intense gaming.
Samsung M31 is not as good as the Oneplus Nord CE, but it is cheaper. You do have to do some de-bloating on it and uninstall bloatware, but other than that, it’s a nice phone. The camera quality is good and it has long lasting battery. In short, it is a great budget friendly phone, and it is way better than the Samsung A31.
