I was running out of moisturizer, I decided to try a new brand for a change. I have not used any Biotique skincare products, so I decided to try one and ended up with Biotique morning nectar moisturizer. It claims to suits all skin type, prevent dark spots, uneven skin tone and blemishes . I tried it for a week and here is the review.
Biotique Morning Nectar Moisturizer comes in a screw type bottle, the lotion is neither thick nor too runny. It has strong fragrance, not a good choice for someone with sensitive nose. Immediately after applying this moisturizer, I started to sweat. I have oily skin and this moisturizer made my skin super oily, and within a couple of day I got small acne and bumps on my face, that is when I decided to give up this moisturizer.
One thing I absolutely hate about boutique product is they do not mention the ingredients, I am not sure how come they are able to sell products without mentioning the ingredients. As we are clueless about the ingredients in the lotion, if you are allergic to one of the ingredients in their products you have to find it the hard way. It is mentioned as preservative free, I wonder how? I guess, this lotion might have comedogenic ingredients as it leads to clogging of pores and acne.
I am just using it as body lotion now, as I want to finish it off. This lotion might suit women with dry skin but not for acne prone, combination or oily skin.
Price: Rs.330 (190ml)
Pros:
- Affordable
- Might suit dry skin
Cons:
- NO ingredients list
- Makes skin oily
- Makes skin sweaty
- Clogs pores
- Leads to acne and rashes
Biotique Morning Nectar Moisturizer is definitely a NO NO for women with oily skin. And the ingredients list is missing, so better stay away from this brand.
Did Biotique products work on your skin? Do you trust brands which are not transparent with ingredient list?
